It can be extremely hard to find forever indoor homes for shy cats because they don’t really stand out in a crowd. They tend to keep to themselves, occasionally giving affection when they want to but that certainly doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve to be loved and cared for either.

They make wonderful undemanding companions that are looking for a quiet calm environment where they can be treated like royalty that they are. Where they can just be themselves and left to do their own thing even if that means just being curled up in a cosy spot in the house for hours on end.

They need patience, love and a little bit of time, once they feel settled in their new environment that’s when their more affectionate side comes out and it is pure happiness to see them thrive.

They all come with up to date vet work, including desexing, vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, etc.

What sort of homes are needed?

• Quiet, calm environment

• Lots of patience and understanding. It can take a longer for a shy cat to settle into a new home.

 

Because we want to see them loved and go into a forever indoor home where they can feel more relaxed (because rescue can be quiet daunting and stressful for shy cats) we have dropped their adoption fee to just $50 and of course if things don’t turn out the way you or the cat hoped, we will always be happy to take the kitten/cat back so there is no need to worry.

The normal adoption protocol is still in place like the home checks or providing pictures as it is necessary as we need to make sure that you and the kitten/cat are a perfect fit, the two week trial period is still also in place.
